Regional Administration Pernik
Today the governor Ivo Petrov officially opened the workshop to finalize the Regional Strategy for the Development of Social Services for Pernik. He thanked the First Secretary of the Kingdom of Belgium, Ms Catherine Raymaykers cooperation and support.
In his welcoming Ivo Petrov stressed the fact that wherever in the world are you, children and adults with special social needs have a common social history. They are struggling to prove their social value and usefulness to society. And they need a friendly smile and helping hand, when they are alone, sick, abandoned ...
"I can not help at all, but can contribute to creating conditions for fruitful work of the people and institutions who care for children and needy of Pernik region," said the governor.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ms Catherine Raymaykers said that Belgium gives its full support to efforts of the Bulgarian government at national and regional aid and assistance to children and the elderly. She was particularly impressed by the participation and commitment of the governor in a workshop organized by UNICEF and the Social Assistance Agency.
